An English press report confirmed, today, Monday, that Everton has decided to dismiss Frank Lampard from his position as coach of the Toffees, in light of the team’s declining results and its 19th place in the English Premier League standings.

Everton has defeated 8 of the last 9 matches the team has played in all competitions.

Everton lost to West Ham (0-2) last Saturday, in the 21st round of the Premier League.

That result frozen Everton's balance at 15 points, in 19th place, equally with Southampton, who finished last.

According to the British newspaper, “Daily Mail”, Lampard spoke to owner Moshiri and chairman Bill Kenwright over the weekend, and agreed to make a change after Saturday’s defeat against West Ham.

Following the loss to West Ham, Everton players were given Monday off and are not expected to return to the team's training center until Tuesday.

It is scheduled that club legend Leighton Baines, who is in charge of the under-18 team, along with Paul Taib, coach of the under-21 team, will take over the responsibility of leading the team, until a new coach is appointed.

And press reports linked the Italian, Mauricio Sarri, coach of Lazio, to taking over the leadership of Everton.
